How To Check In To Great Clips Online Or On The App
You can check-in online on your computer or using the Great Clips App. I have done it both ways and they both work quick and easy! They also both allow you to easily locate “Great Clips near me” and to see “Great Clips hours”.
I use the Great Clips Online Check In when I am at home on my laptop or the Great Clips App when I am out and about on my phone. The directions for each is below.
To Check In Using The Great Clips App
I downloaded the free Great Clips app (which is available for iOS and Android) and it allows you to see wait times at all of the closest Great Clips and to easily check-in to any of the mapped locations! There are two close to my house so it is super nice to know which one is less busy so I know which one to check in at. Then you just click the icon with the green words “Check In”, enter your name and phone number and submit. It lets you know check in is complete and offers you directions, sales, or just hit “done”.
To Check In Online
Visit greatclips.com and click the large green “Check In” icon. It will then show you the locations near you by zipcode or city on a map or in list form as you prefer. It will also show you the estimated wait time at each location.
Now, you just click the check-in icon by the location of your choice. Then enter your name and phone number and they get you on the list.

Online Check-In will not be available during the first five minutes a salon is scheduled to be open. This gives customers who are physically in the salon when it opens a chance to be checked in and have their names added to the waitlist.

A common guideline for tipping at hair salons like Great Clips is to tip 15% to 20% of the total cost of the service. If you're particularly pleased with the service, you can tip on the higher end of that range.
Greet & Introduce, Connect thru Consultation, Create the haircut & talk Product and Confirm the Satisfaction of the look, Thank & Invite Back again. Basically how you would treat a Guest in your home.
The most common reason for this is being selected for additional security screening. The next most common reason (from my experience, at least,) is a problem with the ticket, though it sounds like that's not the case here. There is a randomness factor involved in selection for secondary security screening.
So if you can't check in online, it may be a sign that you're being held back for a later flight. In some cases, a space can become available at the last minute, which is why you're then able to check in at the airport as if nothing's happened.
If the barber is new or just starting out, the haircut may be free or discounted. In such cases, a tip of $5-$20 would be appropriate. Even if the cut is discounted or gifted, it's recommended to tip 15-20% of the full price.
“$10 to $20 is generous,” Rivera said. “Most people will do $5.” Others said people should leave a similar tip to what they would leave at a restaurant. “I would say around 20% is fine,” said Adam Quintero, owner of Up Hair in the Castro.
So whether you get a basic trim, a blowout, or a major color change (like the super-trendy blue hair you've been saving on IG), 20 percent is a rule of thumb. Here's a simple guide if quick math also isn't your strong suit: $25 service = $5 tip. $50 service = $10 tip.
If you're planning to get a haircut, washing your hair beforehand can be crucial. Clean hair gives your stylist a better view of your hair's natural fall and texture. Choosing the Right Shampoo: Use a shampoo that suits your hair type. For color-treated hair, opt for a color-safe shampoo to prevent fading.
If your coming for a haircut appointment, wear your hair the way you normally would. This way the stylist can see your hair texture and what you generally do with it. For a color appointment, it's best to arrive with your hair dry and shampooed within a few days.
