Level IV trauma center (West Valley Hospital)
In 2013,Oregon Health AuthorityaccreditedWest Valley Hospital emergency departmentas a Level IV Trauma Center, ready to care 24/7 for the Willamette Valley’s most seriously injured patients. Trauma facilities are designated as LevelI,II,III, orIV. The role of theLevel IV trauma centeris to provide resuscitation and stabilization for severely injured adult or pediatric patients before transferring them to a higher level trauma system hospital.
Every trauma patient who arrives in the West Valley Hospital emergency department is met by trauma-trained nurses who are immediately available to initiate lifesaving care.

Level II trauma center (Salem Hospital)
In 2018,Oregon Health Authorityaccredited Salem Hospital emergency departmentas a Level II Trauma Center, ready to care 24/7 for the WillametteValley’s most seriously injured patients. Trauma facilities aredesignated as LevelI,II,III, orIV,with Level I and II centers offering the highest level of care.LevelII trauma centers provide care for severely injured patients of allages. Facility services and resource requirements are similar to LevelI.
Every trauma patient who arrives in the Salem Hospitalemergency department is met by a trauma team with resuscitationlife-support equipment to ensure rapid evaluation and treatment.
Redesignation of Salem Hospital's Level IIaccreditation will take place in July 2024.

Bio
Dr. Reyes practiced at Loma Linda University Radiation Medicine for three years before relocating to Salem in 1999 to join Radiation Therapy Consultants. She became Medical Director of Salem Health Cancer Institute in July 2017 and enjoys collaborating with various providers, staff, and groups to develop or maintain the highest level of cancer care to our community. When not caring for patients or serving in her director role, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Along with practicing radiation oncology, Dr. Reyes has an interest in leadership development and relationship-centered care.
