Problem fixed: Loss of speed, change in engine noise.

The existing prop bore sleeve had completely broken and was no longer even present in the lower unit. This let exhaust gases vent before the prop and create a gas bubble around the prop which had a serious impact on performance. Taking off the prop with a single nut, remove it and snapping in a new sleeve fixed the problem wonderfully.

After reading many forums, it was determined to be the prop bore sleeve. Hard to beleive this $4 part could cause such a problem. Mine must have broke and came off at some point. I ordered four.

Remove prop, removed worn bore sleeve, snapped in new sleeve and replaced prop. This resolved ventilation problem caused by exhaust gases traveling outside of prop hub

Problem fixed: Vibration at mid range rpm

Hit a branch/log and got a vibration. changed out the prop bore sleeve and got it out of guardian mode. Still have a touch but I noticed the prop is warped so I'll be changing that next. Just so happened the same time I tried to remove the restrictor plate (lol). I believe most of the vibration was due to guardian mode and really didnt have much to do with the bore sleeve. Hey, live and learn

While the experience with the store was good, I was sent the wrong fuel filter. Not sure why, but they never could find the correct one. But I went to another online store and easily got it. Another part that I ordered came broken,but they quickly remedied the situation and sent me a replacement.

Problem fixed: Spun the prop bore sleeve

Seen a white plastic ring hanging out a little behind the prop upon taking out at the ramp simple fix! Remove the prop, pull out the old plastic bore sleeve and snap the new one in. The old one had spun and broke off the tabs that hold it in place.
